- Not even close. U.S. hockey winning gold in 1980 and Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson were MUCH bigger upsets.

- A true legend when news was really news, not infotainment. Sort of sad that CBS, Uncle Walter's network, embodies the shift from news to pure fluff infotainment with Katie Couric in Cronkite's old chair. But as Cronkite said every night in his sign-off, "And that's the way it is."
